May is a busy birthday month in our family (4 birthdays, counting extended family). Eva has learned to say "Happy Birthday" in her cute little voice. She now thinks that if we are calling someone, it must be their birthday.
We started off the morning having breakfast at the Cowpoke with my mom. It was so nice to sit on their back patio and enjoy the beautiful weather (cooler that normal, but just perfect). It didn't hurt that I didn't have to get breakfast for everyone! I had good intentions of taking a picture of us all at breakfast but we had such a good time I forgot.
After breakfast Steve and Eva took Ally to school while my mom, Colton and I did a little window shopping for furniture.
I had to take Colton in for his 6 month checkup (only a month and a half late!) and that turned into a bit of a fiasco. After waiting 2 hours we finally saw the nurse practitioner. So glad we get to go back to our normal doctor soon! I was a little grumpy after that ordeal (and I wasn't the one who had to get shots!) so I was happy we got to head over to my parents for my birthday dinner.
The girls were so excited for present time, we could hardly keep Eva from opening them all. I love how excited they are, it makes birthdays even more fun.
This year I decided to try something different for my birthday. I usually have angel food cake with strawberries and cream for my birthday, but we had just that for Mother's Day. Instead I requested a birthday pavlova, and my mom made it happen. It was delicious, it might be my new favorite.
It was lots of fun celebrating my birthday with my family, I am very blessed to have such a wonderful family.

Glad your day was great. I've never had pavlova--how fun to try something new. And boo on the doctor visit. Hopefully Dr. Myers was just busy/out for the day?
