The time is just flying by and now Colton is 7 months old. He is such a cute little man, we love him so much.
Nana surprised us by buying Colton a jumperoo since he loved the one at Aunt Diane's so much. He loves this one too. He has even taken to practicing his jumping in his saucer and gets a little crazy.
Colton is getting really good at grabbing things, especially grabbing hair. We have all fell victim to his long reach. One day when we were at the library for story time he was in the front pack and he grabbed a woman's long hair as we walked by. I felt terrible that I hadn't noticed until he was pulling her hair along with us, thankfully she was a very understanding mom.
This handsome boy likes to be where the action is. He loves being close to where his sisters are playing. Both Ally and Eva can get Colton to smile bigger than anyone else. He is turning into quite the mama's boy. While I appreciate being loved and needed it can be challenging at times.
4/12/15 He has really discovered his toes he loves to grab them and play with them.
He is now constantly pulling of his socks and playing with his toes. When he is really excited he waves both his hands and makes circles with his feet. I think it is so funny, I really need to catch him doing it on video.

5/3/15 Colton scoots backwards while on his back. Colton is moving around more and more. He does a little scoot that you hardly notice until he has suddenly moved a few feet from where you put him down.
Colton started eating solids this month. He loves most every baby food he has tried with one exception, he most definitely does not like carrots. It took me by surprise because he always just ate whatever I picked to feed him. After a few bites of carrots he was fighting each and every bite, as soon as I switched to sweet potatoes he happily finished his dinner
I have started feeding him in the high chair instead of his bumbo. He still fits in the bumbo, but he moves around so much trying to grab things (he has a surprisingly long reach!) it is just easier in the high chair. Eva doesn't seem to mind him being in the high chair, she would rather be in a booster chair.
I will never ever get tired of snuggling with my babies. I love it. I rock Colton to sleep for his naps and sometimes at night. I really enjoy our quite time together, he is a great snuggler. Colton loves to have his head rubbed. When I am rocking him to sleep if I start rubbing his head his eyes close and he drifts off to sleep. Even when he is fighting sleep a little head rubbing will get him to relax and fall asleep.
This last month he has been waking up earlier and earlier, not my favorite thing. I am hoping it is a phase, and I am hoping it has more to do with his lingering cold than his new routine. I don't appreciate a 5:45am wake up when he used to sleep in until 7am!
Naps are still hit and miss for this guy. Once in a while he surprises me and takes a solid 2 hour nap, sadly that is not the norm. We are usually lucky if he takes a 1 hour nap. Part of the problem is life gets in the way of his naps, we try and make sure to be home for naps but as a third child sometimes it just doesn't happen. Sometimes I think I am the grumpier one when his misses his nap (or has a short nap).
Colton loves his bath time. I am not sure what he loves more, some undivided attention (a rare treat for my third child) or playing with the bath toys. Sometimes I need it to be bath time so I have at least one happy child in the evening.
I love that no matter how fussy or cranky he is bath time always makes him happy. When Eva sees Colton in the bath she always wants to join him. I have let her take a bath in the tub while Colton is in his baby tub, she loves it.
