Oroville visit

The girls had been asking to go to Nana's house for weeks, finally our schedules aligned and we headed to Oroville for some fun family time.
We had dinner at Brian's house and the kids jumped right into playing with cousins.  Eva was thrilled to be driving around the little John Deere, not sure Miles was as thrilled with Eva's driving skills.  On Sundays Eva prefers to stay in her dress all day long, while Ally takes her dress off the moment we get home.  Love my cute girls.

Soon Colton took over the passenger seat and Eva took off racing around the lawn.

Eva lacks some driving skills, she loves to go fast but doesn't do much steering.  Thankfully Papa kept up with her crazy driving and kept them on the lawn.  Colton loved the way Papa would turn them around (turning around was way beyond Eva's skill set).

Cousin sleep over at Nana's house.  These tired kiddos were pretty good about going to sleep (it helps when it is way past their bed time!).  The boys are early risers and were up way before my girls wanted to be, Ally was especially reluctant to wake up.

I escaped the house before the kids woke up (I later heard it wasn't by much) and walked the dam.  The Oroville Dam is one of my favorite places to walk in Oroville, now that the lake is full it is an even prettier walk.  I love the view looking over the lake as well as looking out into the valley.  It was nice to get in a kid free walk on an unusually cool morning.

We headed to Yuba City to the greatest water park, they had this amazing kid area.  I wish we had something like this near us, I loved it!  So many life guards (and they were really strict on the rules) and lots of fun things for the kids.

Ally and Cameron were tall enough to go down the big water slide, I lost count how many times they went down this thing.  They even squeezed in one last slide just as the park was closing.

Colton took a little while to warm up to the water, I''m not sure if he was overwhelmed by all the people or all the different things around him.

Nana took this perfectly timed picture of Ally, she has really progressed as swimmer this year.  It is so fun to watch her swim (though she still thinks she is better than she is, she needs a little more fear/respect of the deep end).

Cousin swim time.  Ally, Cameron and Jackson.

Back at Uncle Brian's house for dinner and homemade ice cream.  The cousins love getting together, and they never want the fun to end.

It was a short trip but we made the most of it, squeezing in as much fun and family as we could.  The ride back home was a but rough, tired kids who didn't fall asleep but still it was all worth it.
