A Nature Walk

Sunday we headed out to the Ranch to gather some more items to include in our Nature Pal Exchange Box that we are sending off to Arkansas.  Honestly. Sundays are really hard with no naps, tired kids and tired momma, this walk was a great idea for many reasons!

While it was still pretty warm the shadows were starting to get longer as we approached the "golden hour" everything looked beautiful.  We had hardly begun our walk and the girls were finding "treasures" left and right.  I had to institute a no rock policy, I had no desire to carry (much less mail) 20 rocks.

The girls taking the fire break road.

Colton did his best to keep up with everyone, he wanted to walk but he also wanted to stop and look at something every two steps.

We climbed all over the "buried tractor" and turned around to look for more treasure on the way back.  We ended up with a few feathers, acorns, moss, wild oats and some other random treasures to send off to Arkansas.  It was a nice change of pace to get out of the house and take a walk.
