Eva's Birthday

After the Princess Party the rest of the day was pretty low key (thank you for nap time!!!).  We were saving our presents for our little family party the next day with the grandparents but we couldn't go without a little more celebration.

We went to The Big Chill for some birthday frozen yogurt, and as you can see it the birthday girl loved it.

The birthday fun continued the next day with a family party.  All the kids were beyond excited that both sets of grandparents were coming (and the Nana and Papa were spending the night!!). I made homemade pizzas, Eva's favorite (after chicken nuggets that is) and we had a nice dinner outside in our little courtyard.  True to form the birthday girl had a little meltdown when I insisted we stop playing with toys and eat dinner. After a little "time alone" she joined us and all was well again.
After dinner it was on to present time.
Colton gladly helped Eva check out (and he even tried opening) her presents.

Eva was so excited about her new blue skirt she immediately started putting it on.  Love her pose.

Eva talks a lot about the fire, more that Ally does.  She talks about her toys that burned and often will just say "my house burned".  After hearing her talk about the Doc McStuffin's doctor kit that she missed (it had actually been Ally's) I decided to get her one for her birthday.  She was so excited to have a doctor kit again!

I had toyed with the idea of making a princess cake for the family party but real life happened and I decided it was perfectly fine to go with the leftover princess cupcakes.  The birthday girl didn't mind at all!
