December Little Things and Kid Quotes

Colton loves riding on "Zebra Bob", Ally was terrified of this toy when she was 1 and we didn't really remember to bring it out for Eva.

Bath time is a favorite time around here.  These two have way too much fun together.

12.7.15
Eva wanted to open a package of wipes.  I was trying to convince her to put them away in Colton's room.  She was focused on opening them and she said "we need scissors mom?".

Colton is mesmerized by the adorable boy on the phone.  When I need to keep him happy for a few minutes and nothing else is working I just turn the camera on his loves it.

12.8.15
Eva calls band aids "bam-baids"

12.10.15
Eva calls Colton buddy all the time.  "It OK buddy" or "no no buddy".  It made me realize that I call him buddy all the time, much cuter when she says it.

Colton loves playing peek-a-boo.  He was snuggled in this huge blanket after his nap and then he suddenly starting playing peek-a-book with me.  He laugh was the cutest thing.

12.14.15
I love hearing Eva singing Christmas Carols.  She regularly sings Santa Clause is Coming to Town, and I crack up every time she sings Feliz Navidad.  She also loves singing Old Mrs. Witch, a Halloween holdover.

I was so excited to get our tree decorated, I bought lights for the tree and had them ready for Steve.  Sadly I grossly underestimated how many lights we needed (I couldn't remember how many we used to have).  In my defense I bought 600 lights or so.  Three more trips to the store later (Steve went back for more but he still needed more, then he bought the lights with the white wires...) we finally had lights on our tree!

12.17.15
I told the girls it was pajama time and Eva told me "First baths!"

12.19.15
While helping Eva get dressed she said "mom, I so beautiful". I could only agree.

James sent down some much needed furniture with my parents.  The kids especially love our new ottoman.  Eva decided it was the perfect spot for a dance party and Ally and Colton joined her.

I finally unpacked all the books we had been given.  I found this book in a box from my brother James, somehow one of my books ended up in Oregon.  So fun to find this!

12.22.15
While listening to Baby It's Cold Outside Eva said "Baby need jacket".

12.24.15
Eva had just woke up and she was trying to tell me something but she kept stumbling on the words.  Finally she said "I can't talk!"

Ally did awesome on her math test!  It was a really long test (5 pages!) and there were some questions I wasn't even sure what the answer was (I need to learn more about what a rhombus is apparently).  So proud of my girl!

Ally wanted me to take a picture of her creation before her Transformers knocked it over.

12.27.15
Eva pretends she is a story time reader while she reads books at home.  She holds the book up showing the pictures to her "audience" as she "reads".  I also heard her asking "You like that? You want more?"

Eva came with me on a quick trip to the library, she had so much fun playing with the toys.  It was so nice to just sit and look at books while she played quietly!  I need to try and do more things just with her.

Mrs. Carter is the best!  Even though Ally isn't in her class this year Mrs. Carter had Ally come into her class and make a Christmas ornament to replace her T-K ornament from last year that we lost in the fire.

Ally is always building things with duplos, I love her creativity.

12.28.15
Eva said "When I grow up I go to Coyote School".  She wants to be just like Ally and go to Coyote Valley Elementary.

This is the only picture I have of New Year's Eve!  We went to a fun party at the Redfords, the kids had an absolute blast and it was fun visiting.
