Staples

Over a week ago (i think it was Sept 23rd actually) Steve called from work for our nightly chat.  We talked about various things and catching up with what was going on.  After we had been talking for quite some time Steve slipped in the good news,  he lost his glasses.  I think he knew I wasn't going to be happy about it (it seem to be a problem around here) so he was hesitant to bring it up.  Well I wasn't too happy about it, I don't think I was very sympathetic either.  

When I asked how he could possibly have lost his glasses again I was a bit shocked when he said a branch hit him on the head and they took him to the hospital.  Apparently they had been trimming trees and one of the branches got stuck, when it finally got loose it caught Steve on the back of the head.  Needless to say I was no longer focused on the missing glasses.

The damage

At the hospital they have him a choice of stitches or staples, he chose staples. 

It was hard to get a picture, but he has 8 staples in his head.

He went back to the hospital a week later and they removed the staples.  All seems to be well.  And the glasses, well some one at work found them (3 days later) in perfect shape, without a scratch.  I was so relieved Steve wasn't hurt too bad and relieved we didn't have to buy new glasses!
