Pear Festival

I had so much fun at the Pear Festival last year Iwanted to go again.  My mom came with Allyson and I to enjoy the fun.  I thought the Parade started at 9am (their website wasn't very specific) so we got to Kelseyville about 8:45.  I became suspicious when I easily found free parking on the street and the streets weren't jammed with people.
It turned out to be a great idea to come early.  We were able to see half of the booths without the crowds and before it got hot.  We also were able to find a decent spot to watch the parade. The parade had lots of fun entries.

This was one of my favorite entries, a Ma and Pa Joad set-up.

We ran into the Britton's before the parade and enjoyed the Pear Festival together.  They also thought the parade started at 9am (mostly because that is what I had told Rich).

Ally enjoying the parade from her stroller.  We don't use the stroller very often so I was happy that she was very happy to hang out in her stroller most of the time.

Ally was really excited to see the Fire Engine like daddy's.  The best part was this was daddy's engine.  He wasn't in the parade though, he was happily off hunting instead.

There were tons of dogs everywhere (much to Ally's delight).  I thought the doggy sunglasses were funny, if not a bit over the top.

After being trapped in their strollers Ally and Devin enjoyed running around in a grassy area by one of the Churches.

Grandma Comstock bought Allyson this cute Dora apron at the Pear Festival.  She LOVES it.  She likes to wear it all around the house, not just when she is "cooking".

Allyson is a bit obsessed with Dora these days.  She will instantly freeze when Dora comes on and she will hardly move for the entire episode.  We are becoming well versed in all things Dora around here.

A funny Dora story, yesterday was also the General Relief Society Broadcast.  Since Steve was out hunting (along with all the other "men folk") Allyson got to watch the Broadcast with me.  When Sister Silvia Allred started her talk Allyson got excited and said "Dora".  I guess she just has a one track mind, and to her they seemed the same.
