This year we decided to get more into the Pumpkin carving, last year we just visited the pumpkin patch at the school and called it good. This year my mom planted pumpkins especially for the grandchildren and she got quite a good crop. Last Monday the Britton's joined us for some fall home evening fun. There were lots of pumpkins to choose from and it was a beautiful day.
Allyson and Devin getting a ride in the wagon down to the garden.
Ally is holding her first choice, a small squishy rotten pumpkin. Thankfully we were able to persuade her to choose a different one.
So many fun things to explore in the garden.
Pushing the loaded wagon back up to the house.
We attempted a cute picture of Ally and Devin with the pumpkins, but there wasn't a lot of room left for them to sit. They were also more interested in eating the cherry tomatoes my mom kept supplying them with.
Our pumpkins sat around until Saturday when we had a pumpkin carving party. My brother James was here with his family, Marshall, Beth and Beth's friends Erica and Matt we had quite the carving party. Allyson was brave and started to help clean out the pumpkin.
(We had a mini Halloween party with her cousins Jimmy and Tiara, hence the adorable ladybug costume)
Not so sure about the slime.
This is her saying "No" when we asked if she would put her hand back inside the pumpkin.
Checking out one of Jimmy's creative designs.
Daddy carving a Dora just for Allyson.
Showing off all the hard work.
The cutest ladybug ever!
