Ally had another great year of T-ball. I debated about signing Ally up for T-ball or Lower Minors, in the end we stuck with T-ball and she had a great year. I feel like all of the kids really improved and were picking up the basics of baseball. This girl loves sports and has loved playing baseball again.
This year Ally was on the Yankees, I loved their pinstripe hats, if only they had pinstripe pants too. There was an error on their uniforms, they were sponsored by the Jolly Kone, not the Jolly Knoe. I thought it was weird they never fixed them (we pay a lot for those!).
I loved watching Ally improve throughout the season. She always wanted to get a hit off the pitch and she did at least once each game! She plays hard and gives it her all.
I loved watching her run the bases,
Here she was playing the "pitcher" position and she fielded the ball and threw the runner out at first base. I think she improved most in fielding, she was aggressive going after the ball and she has a great arm.
I love that after each game they line up along the base paths and high five the opposing time. I love that they are encouraging good sportsmanship form the very beginning, and it was so cute to watch.
I loved how she would push her pants up to her knees, Hunter Pence style.
Ally was great about keeping her head in the game. When she was on base she watched the batter and was ready to run. In the field she would wait in the down and ready position, I thought she looked so cute and focused.
Eva loved T-ball this year, she was old enough to play on the playground with minimal supervision. It made the games a lot more enjoyable for me as well!
Colton didn't love being confined to the stroller but he couldn't be trusted out of it. We kept him supplied with snacks and toys.
The beginning of the season I struggled with the weeknight games, trying to get homework done and kids fed before a 5:30pm game was not easy (and didn't happen). By the end of the season we found our groove and I brought a picnic dinner to the ball field. Even with the stress of getting everyone ready and to the field on time I love baseball season. Getting out and watching baseball is always fun. I can't wait until next season!
