Ally's class and one other Kindergarten class had a special performance for the end of the year. Ally had been telling me all about the songs and sign language they were practicing to prepare for the performance.
Ally was so serious during the whole program, I only got her to smile at us once or twice. She was concentrating really hard on all the songs and signs. I loved watching the performance, all the kids were trying so hard to do their best. Ally's class is a great group of kids.
The teachers handed out individual awards recognizing students for their excellence in certain areas. Unfortunately for me they weren't going in any particular order. I kept waiting with camera ready,Ally was almost the very last one and I didn't get that great of a shot.
Ally got the Scientist Award for her interest in science and nature. It was the perfect award for her.
Unfortunately daddy wasn't able to come to the performance he was working that day, thankfully Ally had lots of other family there to help her celebrate! Uncle Marshall and Aunty Beth were still in town and came, Grandma and Papa, and Nana all came.
Uncle Marshall and Aunty Beth brought her a candy necklace.
Grandma and Papa (they were there early to save us seats!) brought Ally a candy lei.
I am proud of all the hard work Ally did this year, she learned so much and grew by leaps and bounds. Eva was so excited to be a part of everything. She loves taking Ally to school and any chance she has to be in the classroom.
After the performance we went back to Mrs. Bazzano's classroom for a little class party. One of the mom's who helps out in the class regularly put together a cute slideshow to watch. All the kindergarteners sat on their rug to watch the show. Eva sat with Emma on the rug while we all watched the slideshow.
Mrs. Bazzano as been a great teacher for Ally, she really loves all her students and is always pushing them to learn more. Eva loves "Mrs.'Azzno" too and she requested a picture with her as well. It was a rough year for everyone with the fire but Mrs. Bazzano made sure all her kids and even the parents were taken care of. I can't tell you how much I appreciated her working out a better way to pick up Ally after school. Kinders are supposed to be picked up at the classroom but Mrs. Bazzano took pity on the moms with younger siblings and worked out a system so we pick them up curbside. It was so much nicer!
After the class party was over we went to The Cowpoke for a birthday/graduation lunch with Nana (her birthday was the day before). While we were there we got to see Daddy for just a second when they stopped by after going to Hardester's.
After lunch Eva asked if they could get a treat at the Jolly Kone., since Colton was really cranky and squirmy I took him home while Nana took the girls to the Jolly Kone. The girls loved having some special time with Nana.
