Our Summer started off slowly, I was just so happy to have a break from the hectic end of the year business I was content to just stay home and soak up having no schedule. This didn't go over well with the kids (especially Ally who was used to constant activities from school) so we managed to have a little summer fun.
One of my favorite summer activities is swimming at my Aunt Kathryn's. We took advantage of an extra hot day and jumped back into swimming. The girls loved the water and were back to swimming around the pool in no time.
Colton took a little time to warm up to the idea of swimming, but by the end he was having fun too.
I love these cuties. I love that they get to make fun memories at Aunt Kathryn's pool just like I did growing up. It is such a gorgeous spot with great company too.
Popsicle are always a hit, even if they are a very stick mess. Colton is working on learning how to master the otter pop, not very successfully yet.
One morning I caved in to the constant requests for playdough. My only problem with playdough is all the little pieces that seem to find their way to the carpet no matter what I do.
Colton was beyond excited to be able to sit up to the table and play just like the girls. Ally made a lot of different creations but this birds nest was my favorite.
One warm day the kids were going stir crazy we headed outside to do a little water painting. They had fun painting on the driveway but it quickly turned into water play, dumping cups of water on each other.
We postponed a planned beach day (due to beautiful weather at home) and headed over to Grandma's to test out her new pool.
