Ally's latest art creation. I love that she got three pieces of paper, taped them all together and then drew this ginormous dragon/dinosaur. I love how creative she is and I love her creations.
I was telling the kids I needed to go vote after we finished at the library. When we got to my polling place Eva asked "we go on boat?". Needless to say she was a little disappointed.
Our Redbud is growing back at McKinley Drive. We had the biggest Redbud bush/tree I had ever seen in our yard at McKinley Drive, I loved it so much. I loved looking out our giant kitchen window and seeing the purple flowers in the spring. I am happy that not only is the original bush regrowing from its roots there are many little seedlings popping up from the seed.
Eva heard that Grandma was coming and she said "I need to put on my panties so she can't see my bare bum!" (clearly in the no pants potty training phase)
Colton loves eating bananas, but only if he can hold the banana himself.
The girls are obsessed with Band-Aids. They need them for every little thing, and their babies need them. It is hard for me to say no when Eva says "I need bam baid for my 'squito but on my yeg."
The forever mismatched rain boots live on. These are the boots Eva wore when we left our house during the Valley Fire. I can't bring myself to get rid of them even as they are wearing out and we lost the matching boots in the fire.
Eva was refusing to eat the pears I gave here for dinner (even though she used to eat them all the time). I told her she had to take one bite. Once she tasted them she said "yummy! I love these!"
We love having dance parties, we turn on Pandora and the kids go crazy. Grandma was babysitting and I came home to this dance party that included costumes. It should be noted that all skirts and dresses pictured are Eva's.
Eva showed me her new ballerina spin, she said "Ally teached me!"
Eva was looking for her monkey blanket, I told her "I thought you had him". She said "her! Monkey blankey is a girl!"
Eva digging in the back yard in her finest skirt. I love that she loves princesses and wearing skirts as well as playing outside and getting dirty.
Colton was crying because he finished his lollipop and wanted another. Ally told him "Don't cry , just because she doesn't give you another it doesn't mean she doesn't love you"
Another amazing sunset from our rental.
6.20.16Eva told me Colton had a poopy diaper. When I went to get Colton he said "poo poo" while pointing at his bum.

When Eva thinks something is really funny she covers her mouth with one hand while she laughs extra hard (like a forced laugh). It's pretty cute.
It was not a cold day but Eva insisted on wearing her jacket outside to play, so insisted on keeping it on during lunch as well. I just can't understand this girl, I spent so much time this winter trying to get her to wear this jacket and now she will wear it, in the 90* heat.
We were going over what chores each person would do after breakfast. I jokingly said Colton had to scrub the toilet. Eva (with slightly worried tone) said "I think he will need some help with that."
Colton loves the piano at Grandma's house, he climbs up and bangs out a tune while singing along.
We couldn't find Eva's pacifier at bedtime. While we were looking for it Eva said "I guess I sleep without it". I was stunned. I told her if I found it I would bring it in to her (she hasn't slept without it since she was a few months old!). She told me "I don't want it, I'm a big girl and I don't want to sleep with it."
Colton fell asleep on the way home from church and Steve was able to transfer him to the couch where he continued his nap. His sisters joined him for a while, though Colton is the only one really sleeping in this picture!
Eva was watching buzzards gliding in circles and she said "they playing Ring Around the Rosie!"
Summer nights can be pretty hot some times. Ally slept on the floor under the fan, when Eva woke up during the night she decided to join Ally on the floor too.
While I was outside watering Ally got Colton dressed for the day, she is such a great helper.
Eva was getting frustrated picking up the playroom and she said "this is NOT my life!"
