The whole week before Mother's Day Ally would come home from school telling me she was working on a surprise for me. She wanted to tell me what it was but wanted it to be a surprise, it was a constant struggle. She was so excited to finally give me her surprise Sunday morning. I loved the special wrapping paper.
Here are all my wonderful Mother's Day gifts.
Ally's presents from school. They made this picture all on their own! I love this card from Ally. Earlier in the week my mom had picked Ally up from school, Ally told my mom they were making a Mother's Day card and she wasn't sure how old I was. She told my mom she thought I was 59, when she found out she was a bit off she got really embarrassed. I thought it was funny, but it really bothered her, she wrote me an apology note with my correct age when she found out she couldn't change the card.
While I was gone on my girls weekend Nana had been busy making these cute crafts with the kids. I love these kind of sentimental crafts, my favorite. I know the kids had fun making these, especially since I hardly ever let them use paint!
Steve had to go back to work on Mother's Day, he had talked to the girls telling them to make the day special for me. Ally worked really hard trying to make the day special, even cleaning the playroom for me (that was a great present!). I also overheard her arguing with Eva telling her they needed to not fight to make my day special.
After church we headed over to Grandma's for a Mother's Day dinner. While not the most relaxing day it was fun watching the girls do their best to make the day special.
