May LIttle Things

During Sacrament Meeting Ally wrote out her own Testimony.
"I know the Church is true! I want to see the temple again some day. Jesus made us and our family and the earth.  I love the temple and my teacher"

5.1.16
Ally told Eva she had to wear shoes outside.  Eva was mad and said "That's ridiculous!"

Eva playing with her princesses.

5.2.16
Colton said "show", while pointing at the T.V.

Eva insists that Ally is a grown up.  I could not convince her otherwise so I gave up.  We did both agree Ally is a big girl though.

Colton said "Cow".  We were at Ally's T-ball practice when he pointed to the cows in the field and said "Cow".

I am loving our roses out front.  They are amazing!

5.3.16
Eva said the prayer at night all by herself!  She gave thanks for her birthday, and she was thankfully I came to her birthday and she blessed her owies (mosquito bites).  She was so proud of herself.

5.4.16
Colton said "thank you" when I helped him with the duplos he was playing with.

One night after getting home from a T ball game Eva hoped in the front seat and pretended to drive.  She thought it was pretty funny.

5.8.16
Ally cleaned the playroom before church as a surprise for me because it was Mother's Day.  I also got a special paper airplane note from her as well.

5.10.16
We were playing a silly animal guessing game.  The clues were 1. likes to swim in the water and 2. is hairy.  Ally guessed it was Steve.  We about died laughing.  The correct answer was platypus.

We heard a dog barking and Colton said "doggie".  Even though he said it 4 times for me he wouldn't say it when I tried to get him to say it to Steve.

We spent about a week working with our architect to figure out our plans.  I lost count of what version we were on around the 10th version.  I spent a lot of time staring at plans and looking at each little detail and going over options with Steve.

5.11.16
After failing to whistle Eva said "mom, I have no whistle in my throat".

When Colton is standing on a chair I tell him to sit on his bum.  He sits down and said "tank you!".

Eva wanted to say the prayer, when I asked her to close her eyes she said she didn't want to because it makes her tired.  As she was almost finished saying the prayer she yawned (her eyes had been closed) and she said "see, makes me tired."

Colton found some leftover chocolate from Mother's Day the evidence all over his face. He got really mad when I took the chocolate away.

5.13.16
Eva just went through 4 shirts and 2 skirts in 20 minutes (basically dinner time).  Too much spilling of lemonade and yogurt.  Of course after each spill she HAD to get a clean shirt or skirt.

I think it is so cute seeing these two sitting in their chairs watching a show.

5.15.16
I stayed home from church with a sick Colton.  Eva came running back in from the garage as they were leaving for church.  I asked her if she forgot something, she said"yes, a hug and a kiss".

While leaving Grandma's house Eva was worried she had left her Hello Kitty cookies (from Auntie Beth and Uncle Marshall) inside.  I told her I already put them in the car.  She said "oh good, I almost freaked out!".

Ally found a bird's egg in our yard

5.17.16
I love listening to Eva play.  The conversations her dolls have are adorable!
"How was your day?"
"Pretty good"
"what was your favorite part of 'chool? Painting?"
and
"I love snuggles"
"That's pretty good"

Nana brought some fun surprises for the kids, they are just a little excited about them.

Bob and Linda made it over to see one of Ally's game (luckily this one wasn't rained out!).

5.20.16
Colton loves Ring Around the Rosie.  He will sing "ashes ashes, all down!".  Lucky for him Eva loves doing it with him.

5.21.16
Colton has started to say "ow, ow, ow" when I comb his hair.  Not that it hurts him but that it what he hears his sisters say when I brush their hair.

Eva has really come a long way from her epic tantrums.  Now she just folds her arms, stomps her foot and puts on quite the scowl.  This particular day she wanted to wear this cute jean skirt.  I told her she had to wear shorts under the skirt (it was a bit short), she was ok with that but proceeded to pull up the shorts and the skirt so her bum was almost hanging out.  She wasn't happy when I told her the skirt had to be pulled down covering her bum or she couldn't wear it.  I thought her outfit was so cute (especially the shoes) but she took it off because she didn't want to wear it the way I wanted her to

Uncle James was in California for work and surprised us with a visit.  He came bearing gifts too!  He brought me an early birthday present, a quilt Luwanna made out of family reunion shirts.  I love that quilt.

Uncle James also brought all of these cute little solar dancing figures for each holiday.  Luwanna was passing along her collection to us.

We love playing outside, the kids love riding bikes.  Eva finally rides her bike instead of the tricycle.  She loves it!

Open House night at Coyote Valley Elementary.  Mrs. Bazzano and Ally

I love seeing my kids with books.  I love that Colton is "reading" a Fancy Nancy book, and it is upside down.

5.22.16
We took the "long way" (Spruce Grove Extension) home from church, as requested by the girls.  We came across a turtle crossing the road.   Of course we stopped to check it out and save it.  Steve thought saving it meant taking it home, while I thought saving it meant putting it in the grass off the road.
The girls were pretty excited they got to see the turtle and Eva said "We have to tell Grandma about the turtle, right mom?"

The kids saying Happy Birthday to Nana!

5.24.16
Colton will ask to get down (from his stroller, or his high chair) by saying "Ah down?"

5.26.16
Colton finally said an animal noise!  He loves animals and knows which sounds to make but he won't ever say them when we would ask.  Today while watching a show the song said "The sheep on the farm go baa baa baa" (and went through many different animals) he said "baa" for the sheep each time.

A rare moment with these two, equally surprising since Colton is holding one of Eva's precious babies and she is letting him.

On sheet washing day Colton climbed up on Eva's bed, pulled up a blankie and pretended to sleep.  When I found him like this he just giggled at me.

5.27.16
We pass by a zebra every day taking Ally to school (it takes care of a small herd of sheep, no joking!).  Today I asked the girls if they could see the zebra and Colton said "zebra".  I was so surprised!  He is in a parroting phase where he repeats anything he hears but I still love hearing him say new words.

An almost complete picture of Eva's many babies.

5.30.16
We stopped by McKinley Drive to see where Bob and Steve had laid out the new house.  I showed the girls where their room will be.  Eva said "I don't want to sleep on the grass".

Ally was in trouble for not listening.  Eva came into their room to get a baby while I was having a talk with Ally.  On her way back out of the room she stopped by Ally (who was crying) and said "it ok Ally."

The first story time of the summer!  I love that Ally is still excited to come to story time.  Two of Ally's friends from Kindergarten showed up as well.

5.31.16
Eva always asks to eat a banana after hearing the banana song "1 banana, 2 banana, 3 banana 4....).  Today after the song she said, with a very sad face, "my tummy sick, it need banana" so of course I give her a banana.

I love the tantrum pic of Eva. So adorable. And Ally's testimony is so precious! Your kids are so cute. Plus, I loved hearing your house is moving forward!
