Idaho Part 2 - Blackfoot

The drive to Blackfoot was much quicker than we thought it would be and soon we were having fun catching up with more family.  Steve's Grandpa Cherry had a turkey dinner waiting for all of us.  It is always fun to see Grandma and Grandpa Cherry, they are always happy to see us and shower us with love.  Steve's Aunt Dianne was gracious enough to let us invade her house with our crazy crowd.  She even spoiled us with homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast.

Colton and I got to go visit with Grandpa while all the other kids were at the park.  It was fun to have some quiet time to sit and listen to Grandpa tell stories.  He shared some pretty funny stories about his early parenting days. 

Thursday evening we had a little photo session after dinner.  It isn't easy to get this crowd organized for a picture, especially with all the kids. 

Grandpa and Grandma Cherry are just and feisty and adorable as ever.  While we were trying to organize everyone for our picture Grandpa put on his tie to "dress up" for pictures.

In one of our many conversations Grandma told me she doesn't like the Harry Potter books, she just knows all that magic and sorcery is of the devil.  She told us no matter how many people try and convince her they aren't bad, she knows they are terrible.  

We tried to take a picture of our kids with their Great Grandparents but Eva wasn't having it.  She was tired and more than ready for bed and there was no way she would sit on Grandma's lap.

Instead we opted for a family picture with Grandma and Grandpa, which was probably a better idea anyway.

Uncle Brandon took some time off from studying for his finals to visit us each evening.

Dianne and Rich's basement has the best place for kids to play.  Colton absolutely loved this jumperoo.

Friday morning we were able to squeeze in an Easter Egg hunt before our family had to head home.  The kids were so excited, and there were plenty of eggs to find.

There were even some eggs hidden by Grandma Cherry.

After the hunt was finished the kids sat around and consumed unholy amounts of candy.  Just perfect before heading out on a long drive.

It was a wonderful week spending time with family, that ended much too soon.  

The trip back was mostly uneventful (except for a truly unfortunate hotel choice in Winnemucca, so so bad).  We made it home exhausted but filled with love and fun memories of family.
