Fairytale Town

For Eva's 2nd Birthday we headed to Fariytale Town in Sacramento.  We met up with Steve's family and had fun watching the kids run around. 

Eva didn't really know that it was her special day, but she loved playing and being with her big kid cousins.  

Papa was kind enough to help Eva go on the big slide at Owl's House.  She watched her cousins go down the big slide and she was determined to have her turn.

She was having fun until she bumped her head right after this picture.  She recovered quickly but avoided most slides for the rest of the day.

I loved that Fairytale Town is geared toward younger kids.  Eva loved watching all the kids playing and jumping right in herself.

Ally was, surprisingly, a bit shy about dancing around but finally got into it and had some fun.

After a few tantrums from the birthday girl we realized it was time to stop for lunch.  After we had some lunch all was right with the world and Eva was a happy birthday girl once again.

These Cherry cousins have so much fun together.  They were running around and playing non stop the entire day.

When we brought out the cupcakes and sang "Happy Birthday" Eva just beamed realizing all the fun was for her.  She loved all the special attention.

The cupcakes (which didn't do too well in the record heat) had moons and stars on them.  Eva loves the moon, 

I loved how excited she would get as she opened her presents.  Such genuine joy.  After opening one of her presents I was trying to get her to say "thank you", but instead she just said "whoa!".  That was even better than a thank you.

Eva got so many fun gifts but this was my favorite, for sentimental reasons.  This was my little moses basket when I was little.  My mom dug it out of the attic and repaired it so Eva would have a bed for her babies. 

We were so lucky to share the day with so much family.  Judy and Lori came into town just in time to join in the party fun.  Ally and Lori and playing a tickle game that Ally found hilarious while Judy is having fun with Colton.

We officially wore the kids (and adults) out, but it was a fun day celebrating our Eva girl.
