Colton 10 months

Colton loves to play with any ball, he gets the biggest grin and can hardly contain his excitement.  Sadly his sisters are constantly stealing whatever ball he has, despite my best efforts.

This picture cracks me up, he is giving me "the look" and he has morning face.  I love my quiet morning time with this boy.  I do wish he would sleep in like his sisters but it is also nice that we have some time just to ourselves.  I enjoy our morning times the most when he sleeps in until 7am.  He still isn't consistent with his wake up times and sometimes when he wakes up too early we snuggle in bed until it is 7.

7/13/15 This morning Colton woke up happy and just played in his bed.  He rarely wakes up happy, he is always demanding to be rescued from his loneliness.  He is a little spoiled and prefers to be with me.  It is much more pleasant to hear him happily playing instead of an instant cry.  Here is hoping for more happy mornings.

7/19/15 Colton is trying to tell me he isnt' a baby anymore. His 2nd tooth broke through. A top tooth directly on top of his bottom tooth.
Then in the afternoon he was going crazy in his jumper (he and ally were having fun and he was jumping like crazy) and he tipped the jumper over sideways! I wish I had taken a picture but I was worried he was hurt (he was fine)  That think has a big base, I didn't ever think tipping would be a problem.
That night in the bath he wouldn't stay sitting in his baby bath tub.  He kept trying to stand up and lean way over to grab toys, and kept tipping the baby tub over.  No more baby tub

Colton is very interested in table food, he is constantly watching and reaching for the food on our plates.  I have started to give him little bits and pieces. He enjoys gnawing on our left over corn cobs, I am not sure if he likes getting pieces of corn or that he gets to do what everyone else is doing.  He also loves oven roasted carrots, neither of the girls liked them but he just kept wanting more.

7/20/15 Colton played in his crib before falling asleep for a 2 hour nap!!! To make it even better, Eva was already down for her nap I was reading/resting and fell asleep and Ally crawled into bed with me and slept too.  A Sunday afternoon miracle I tell you.  It was glorious,  until it was bedtime and no one wanted to go to sleep!  At least I was rested enough that it didn't bother me too much.
Just before bed (while I was reading bedtime stories to the girls) Colton crawled up on all fours. It was pretty adorable. He really wanted the stuffed pig (Mamma Piggy) and he crawled right to her, sat down and chewed on his prize.

Things are improving for Colton on the nap front, while he isn't consistently taking good naps they are happening with increasing frequency.  He is also starting to go to sleep without crying himself to sleep.  While things are still rough I have hope when we have good days.  I stand by the fact that naps can make or break a day, at least in my world!  Part of the problem is that he has a few good nap days and then our summer adventures (going to Nana's, going to the park or going camping) throw off our nap routine.  We keep trying and hoping for the best.

8/2/15 Colton got his 4th tooth while camping.  His second top tooth!

Eva loves playing with Colton, her own personal living breathing doll.  Colton doesn't enjoy her attention quiet as much, here is is looking rather annoyed at Eva's attempt to do "ring around the rosy" with him.  I am constantly having to watch Eva and try to keep her in check, she loves to play with and mother him but she is still so rough.
It really makes me laugh how mad he gets when Eva won't stop hugging him.  When Eva was younger she would get so mad at Ally if a hug lasted longer than 2 seconds, now the tables are turned.

We love our handsome boy!

8/3/15 Colton is standing up while holding onto anything he can.  He is acting like he wants to cruise along furniture too, but so far he stays put,
