Nana's House

Ally has been dying to spend the night at Nana's house forever.  She couldn't wait for summer time so we could go to Oroville.  Unfortunately for her between sickness and schedules we had to wait a little while.  She faithfully counted down the days until the happy day.

The happy day was almost postponed, Eva and Colton came down with colds and Eva was up many times the night before we left.  Thankfully Nana and Papa welcomed us despite our germs. I brought along the necessities and we made the best of it.

Ally loved this crazy ball that you get inside of, Eva loved the idea of it but didn't really like being inside.

She kept telling Papa to go faster and crazier all around the yard.  I wish I had a better picture of how crazy the static made her hair.  So funny.

Eva went to bed just fine that night but she soon woke up and was completely inconsolable (just like the night before).  She just didn't feel good and it hurt to cough but she wasn't fully awake and it was impossible to reason with her.  Finally after trying many different distractions she woke up and calmed down.  She then politely requested fishy crackers.  Luckily for her I was willing to give her absolutely anything to make her happy at this point.  After she ate her crackers she happily went back to bed.  She woke up a few more times but it wasn't too bad.
The next night she did ok until 2 or 3 in the morning when she and I sat and cuddled for an hour before she would go back to sleep.

Eva wanted to sit on the edge of the trunk, and when she did she realized it was really narrow.  She told me "too small!" but continued to sit there and read her book.

Colton was adorable happy most of the time.  He did wake up much too early so he and I snuggled in bed until it was actually time to wake up.

Papa and Colton having some man time.

The Cherry boys came over to play and swim in the afternoon and had lots of fun together, somehow I didn't get any pictures of that.

Saturday we headed off the the Kirshner Wildlife Rescue to see the animals.  It started off happily enough.  The cousins were enjoing being together and seeing all the animals.  Unfortunately while we were by the Tortoise pen there was an accident and Cameron cut his head on a fence post.  This picture was taken just minutes before he got hurt, Jackson is even pulling on the "fence" that was the problem!

Cam was tough and was back to playing even after stitches.  I love this picture of Cam and Ally playing Cops and Robbers.  These two have so much fun together.
The trip was jam packed with fun but we were sad to leave Saturday night.  The kids had so much fun and Nana and Papa properly spoiled all of them.
