Ornaments

I love getting out all our Christmas decorations and enjoying the memories associated with them.  I especially love decorating the Christmas Tree.  Growing up my parents would give us a new Christmas Ornament to put on the tree.  I loved getting out our own box of ornaments and decorating the tree.  I still love getting out my very worn blue Macy's box and selecting my favorite ornaments to put on the tree.  

Of course we have continued the ornament tradition with our kids.  They don't have their own boxes yet, but we are working on that.  

Somehow all three kids have horses for their babies 1st Christmas ornaments.  It was a bit of a coincidence on Eva and Ally but I continued the theme with Colton.

My Aunt Judy was the one who got this one for Ally, unknowingly starting off the tradition.

I also try to get an ornament for the whole family, or at least for Steve and I together.  Last year we went on the Christmas Skunk Train in Willits.  I had forgotten that I bought this ornament last year to remind us of our fun adventure.  

Two years ago I got crafty for our Christmas ornaments, I was pretty proud (and maybe a little surprised) how cute these turned out.  A pinterest find that I actually did, and that actually turned out!

I love our ornament for this year!  It is our family Christmas Tree.

I love having our Christmas Tree up, I love how magical the lights are.  Our tree is not a perfectly manicured tree, in fact the first three feet or so are mostly blank  but I love it all the same.
