Mother's Day

This year we celebrated Mother's Day on Saturday because Steve had to work on Mother's Day.  Steve and the girls gave me beautiful roses and chocolate.

Ally had been counting down the days until Mother's Day and she couldn't wait to celebrate.  She kept telling me I was going to get a surprise but she couldn't tell me what it was.  She also told me that she would do some of my chores for me.  So sweet.  Steve took Ally shopping for my "surprise", that in itself was a nice present.  Eva and I spent some quite time together while they were off shopping.
Saturday we headed to our favorite park for a Mother's Day picnic.  It turned out to be a really windy day but we still had a great picnic.  In fact our picnic was so good we were too full for dinner.
Sunday was as busy and tiring as always, it was a big day for Ally.  She sang with the Primary during Sacrament Meeting, she was so excited to go up and sing.  No stage fright at all, she has come so far!  Then she gave a talk on prophets in Primary, she was pretty nervous about it.  She had practiced and practiced her talk and in the end she did a great job.
After church we headed to my parents for another Mother's Day celebration. My dad made a delicious BBQ dinner, it was quite a treat not worry about cooking dinner. After dinner we took a drive around the ranch to look at the wildflowers, especially the wild lilac.
