We haven't done anything very exciting around here lately, just some low key days. I had hopes of being able to report on Eva's progress with naps. We had three glorious days with two long naps each day, and then today she only slept 1 hour all day. We will keep working on it! She is such a sweet baby I can't complain too much, but she is much happier when she gets her naps and I don't mind the break.
A few weeks ago we met Grandma and Aunty Beth at the Cowpoke for lunch, it was warm but enjoyable on the patio. These girls had a blast. Allyson loved the fish in the pond and Eva loved watching Allyson.
My baby girl is looking so grown up, and of course I love these Cherry overalls (courtesy of Nana).
Much to Eva's delight, Ally wheeled Eva over to the pond to see the fish.
Allyson got to pick out her very own pumpkin from Aunt Kathryn's garden. She was so happy!
While I was visiting Allyson came up to me and excitedly exclaimed "I am going to get fat!" and started to take off. I wasn't sure what she meant, after I questioned her she said "I am going to get fat! but just for pretend". I had no idea what she was talking about. She took off and ran over to a little bridge and as she ran across the bridge she said "Trip, trap, trip, trap". Then it all made sense, she was pretending to be one of the three billy goats in The Three Billy Goats Gruff. Adorable.
We had a good little rainstorm last weekend, Allyson was so excited to go out and play in the rain. The rain had mostly stopped by the time she headed outside, but she enjoyed playing outside and going on a wet walk with daddy.
On our way to Grandma's house we spotted this gorgeous rainbow, it stretched across the whole sky.
One evening, in a fruitless attempt to wear Allyson out before bedtime, we took a walk on Dry Creek Cutoff. Allyson loved pushing Eva in the stroller.
She was all over the road so I had a hard time taking a picture of my two girls.
