Potty Training Take 2

The first round of potty training was pretty rough on both Eva and I.  As much as I wanted Eva to be potty trained I was dreading attempting the "training" part again.  Once the craziness that is the end of the school year was over I thought it might be a good time to try again.
Eva had been talking about wanting her panties back but she would never commit on her own to give up diapers (she claimed she liked her diapers).  With an open week ahead of us I dove in again, starting by telling her she couldn't have any more diapers (and really we didn't have very many left anyway). I let her pick out her favorite stickers at the store and we tried the sticker chart one more time.
This time around it was so much better!  I think the combination of her being ready (I'll never be able to force this girl to do anything!) and my secret weapon, Ally ensured our success.  Ally was so helpful, she took on the role of coach getting Eva excited about being potty trained and talking her through what she needed to do.  In addition to her coaching Ally was Eva's biggest cheerleader, she was so excited for her every time she was successful.  Ally also made sure Eva didn't miss any reward we offered holding us very much accountable.
I am so happy (and relieved) that we survived potty training yet again.  Eva is so proud that she is a "big girl" and we are all happy to only have one little one in diapers!
