Colton got to have his first sponge bath at home when he was almost a week old (6 days old to be exact). It just happened to work out that he got his bath as the girls were getting ready for their baths. It was a little crazy in our bathroom and something was up with my camera that night so the pictures are not the best quality but at least we documented it.
Allyson begged me to let her help give Colton a bath so she got to be my helper.
Ally washed his feet really well before leaving the rest up to me.
Colton didn't enjoy his bath so much, to tell the truth I think he mostly hated having his clothes off. His first bath was a bit rushed and crazy, but I think that is life as the third child.
When Colton was just one day shy of being 3 weeks old he was ready for a real bath. Or at least a sink bath!
At first he didn't seem to mind the bath, he had his serious face on, but he wasn't upset.
That soon changed, and he decided he did not like the bath at all. In fairness, he did get some water in his mouth (he was not a fan of that) and it was all down hill from there for him. Ally was his official feet washer again, he will have the cleanest toes of any baby.
Even after the bath, wrapped in a warm towel he hadn't recovered from the torture of the bath. Have you ever seen such a sad face?
Once he got his diaper on and some clothes on he was back to his happy self and a much cleaner version at that.
