Party Time

For the last couple of months if you ask Allyson when her birthday is she will say. "October twenty three". On Friday before the party my mom said she had to go to the store to get something for her birthday party, Allyson asked "is it October?".  She had no idea.

Saturday we spent the day at Grandma and Papa's house getting things ready for the party the next day.  That night in her bedtime prayer Allyson said "bless my party tomorrow after church", I loved it.

The big day of the party finally came.  I was so happy Steve was able to get off work (I was getting worried as there was a big fire the Thursday before).  Sunday was also the Primary Program and the older Nursery kids all had a scripture to say.  Allyson wasn't scared at all and said her scripture into the microphone, her scripture was 1 Nephi 3:16.  She was so cute.

After church I enlisted everyone to help with the final decorations for the party.  Thank to my Dad's campaign earlier this year we were able to have helium balloons for the party.

Allyson was taking a much needed nap while we decorated.  As she saw all the party decorations for the first time she was so surprised and said"oh my gosh!".  She loved all the balloons.

Our delicious lunch.

Allyson and Devin at the kids table.

The birthday girl ready to open her presents.

She was so cute opening each present, she didn't need much help from me this year.  I loved her cute reactions to each present.

Devin offering assistance opening some of the gifts.  I love how well these two get a long together, they  have a lot of fun together.

Birthday cake time!  The number 3 cake was surprisingly easy, thanks to pinterest for this idea.

These two opted for a lollipop instead of a piece of cake.

I wish I had taken more pictures of the whole group who celebrated with us.  We had Grandma and Papa Comstock, Nana and Papa Cherry, Marshall and Beth, Aunt Kathryn, Aunt Judy, Uncle Denny and Aunt Jackie, Val and Sue and The Brittons.
The party was a success, capped off with the Giants winning their game that night as well.  After the party Allyson kept saying "that was a good party," and "I loved my party".
