Both sets of grandparents went in together on a big present for Allyson. Papa Comstock and Daddy spent the better part of an afternoon assembling the surprise.
For almost a week before her birthday Allyson wondered what the surprise was under the tarp. She was really good about not peeking, it helped that we spent a lot of time away from home and it rained a few days. When I asked her if she thought it was a big present or a small present she insisted it was a small present. Silly girl.
On her birthday she got to "unwrap" her big surprise after her nap.
