April Little Things

4.5.16
Ally and Eva were doing art on the floor, Colton kept getting into their supplies.  Instead of moving to the table (my suggestion) they kept trying to distract him.  Ally started first saying "look Colton a bird" while pointing to the window.  After that worked a few times Eva joined in adding "Colton go see the buzzard".

While we were driving into town Eva surprised me by pointing out the poppies along Grange Road and knowing their name.

This girl loves wearing sunglasses (she has multiple pairs), I love that she insists this is the proper way to wear them.

Eva broke her sunglasses (after I had warned her to be careful), she immediately said "I like them broken".
Ally wanted more Ranch for her chicken nuggets at dinner.  I told her "I'm sorry that is all you get", she responded "I forgive you"

I told Eva not to put her cup on the balcony railing (I didn't want it falling off the deck), she said "Why? The neighbor drink it all gone?"

This little stinker is a climber, he pulled this tote over to the wall so he could reach the light switch.

4.7.16
Colton is starting to say words.  He has been saynig "uh-oh" for a while now.  In the last couple of days he has started saying "Ally" with a lot of emphasis on the "eeee"

4.8.16
Colton sneaks into my bathroom whenever he has a chance.  He always opens the drawer and grabs my electric toothbrush and then cries because he hates the noise.

Colton has started asserting himself and making his opinion known.  We have had an increase in the bickering and fighting department as a result.  His sisters are starting to learn he is a force to be reckoned with he will not be ignored.

4.10.16
Going through the McArthur Tunnel in San Francisco Eva said "this is awesome!"
Somewhere further along Hwy 1 Eva said "what the heck!", I don't remember why but Steve and I died laughing.

Eva is so cute with her babies, I love how she reads books to them, story time reader in training!

4.11.16
Colton said "baby" and pointed to the baby giraffe in a book we were reading.
Eva came in from the bonfire/smores and told me "I had lots of fun".

Gorgeous rainbow out our back deck one rainy morning.

4.19.16
I asked Eva why she opened the sliding glass door and she said "need some fresh air".
I love that Colton is started to communicate more!  He climbed up on my lap with a cape, he grabbed my face so I was looking right at him.  I asked if he wanted me to put the cape on, he nodded an emphatic yes!

Playground time during T-ball practice.
Colton's first time on a big kid swing, he insisted on getting on and he stayed on for a good 10 minutes of swinging.  I shouldn't doubt this determined boy.

4.21.16
Eva was helping me find Colton's sippy cup (a constant struggle around here).  Ally raced in and found it first, Eva was sad and said "Ally, you break my heart".

I loved it when Ally's team was in the dugout next to the playground.  Eva is old enough that she can play on the playground with minimal supervision.  Playground time made the games a lot more fun for the both of us.

4.28.16
At bedtime Eva asked if she could have the smoke in her room.  I agreed once I realized she was asking for the humidifier.
Colton said "cat" today when we saw the neighbor's cat in our yard.
