Hell's Half Acre

The heat wave was intense!  Just check out those temperatures from The Ranch, we were about 5* cooler (is it cooler?) at our place almost every day.  I think our high was 114* for this heat wave, but I can't remember for sure.  See what the heat does?
This is some of the hottest weather I can remember, and to make it worse it was an extended heat wave.  The kind that messes with your head, I was cranky and starting to go a little crazy.  On the 6th or 7th day of hot weather the girls and I just took a drive for about an hour to enjoy the wonderful A/C in our car.
I am glad the heat wave is over, while the days are still warm (hovering close to 100*) it is bearable, especially with nice cool nights.  During the heat wave the lows were in the mid to high 70s with one night where the low was 80*.
I am happy to report we all survived the heat wave (I wasn't so sure on a few of those days).  Even Steve survived, he had to work in the crazy heat.  They had a fire on one of the days where it was 112*, that does not sound like fun at all.
