Eva girl is 4 months old! She is our happy girl who makes our life lots of fun.
I love that she always has a smile to give, the kind of smile that lights up her whole face. I love her big belly laughs, they are so adorable. Even if they are hard to coax out of her. She has lots of strawberry blondish hair and it sticks out all over, Steve says it looks like a dandelion puff.
Official stats from her checkup
Height: 25"
Weight: 16lbs 15oz
After she rolls over onto her tummy she wiggles around and attempts to do "the worm", she wants to crawl and she keeps pushing off with her legs. The rest of her body hasn't figured out what to do yet.
She is tall enough to play in her saucer!
She is starting to grab and play with some of the toys. She is happy to be able to stand up and look around while she plays. Allyson helped me put the saucer together and she was so excited for Eva to play in it.
She still loves her swing and she will often take her afternoon naps in her swing.
I am figuring out her ever changing sleep habits. She used to like being walked around to fall asleep, no more. It just makes her mad or restless. She just wants to be left alone and will often fall asleep in her crib on her own. Ally was not like that until she was much older.
One night I was particularly frustrated because she would not go to sleep, she wasn't unhappy but I knew she was tired. After walking her, feeding her, singing to her I finally laid her down in her crib so I could have a break. Much to my surprise she wiggled around and promptly fell asleep! It was wonderful! She does this for her morning nap and going to sleep at night. Afternoon naps are hit and miss for some reason but I am not complaining.
Eva does have some funny sleeping preferences. Here she is when I put her in bed for the night. She was pretty much asleep when I laid her down so she didn't move much before falling asleep.
This is how I found her in the morning (almost every morning for that matter).
During the night she scooted up to the top of the crib and pushed her face into the corner. She loves to have something up against her face when she sleeps, a receiving blanket used to be sufficient. Silly girl.
Some fun videos of our Eva girl.
Kicking and talking. She hardly ever holds still, she is always moving.
Thinking she is old enough to crawl, thankfully she has some work to do first.
