Summer Heat

Summer is officially here, and so is the heat. Since Allyson loves to be outside we find fun ways to beat the heat.

She loves her Alligator baby pool, and I like putting my feet in it too.

She seemed to know just what to do, she climbed right in, sat down and started playing.  Now my biggest challenge is getting her to stay in it.  She prefers getting in and out of the yard repeatedly interspersed with wandering the yard, it isn't bad but it keeps me on my toes.

This girl is always on the go, sometimes as we are playing outside she runs laps up and down our walkway.  It is so funny, she always runs with a purpose.

She loves playing with her buckets.  We had to get the big blue one out one day when Devin came to play (we are working on sharing) and now she insists on always playing with both of them (so much for sharing).

Here she is modeling her second swim suit.  I think it is so funny how easy it is to find a cute bathing suit for her and it seems so hard for me!  When I went shopping for her bathing suit we were with Grandma Cherry, and when I couldn't decide which one to get she bought one and I bought the other.  Perfect solution!

Allyson loves to play with the hose, she fills up her buckets splashes around and then dumps them out on her feet.

We have also ventured to Grandma Comstock's pool.  Last year she like the pool ok but it took quite a while for her to warm up to the idea of the pool.  This year there was no hesitation at all, she wanted in immediately.  I bought her a floatie since there is no shallow end in Grandma's pool, she loved floating on her own.

She even learned how to kick her legs so she can turn herself around!

We love pool time.

She even attempted to blow bubbles in the water, a few times she put her head a little further in than she intended so now she prefers to "blow bubbles" on the edge of the floatie.

We are looking forward to many days spent in the water this summer.
