Giants Game

It is no secret that we are Giants Fans, I come from a family of die hard Giants Fans.  Steve was not a Giants fan, even worse he wasn't a baseball fan.  However, through consistent exposure and endless discussion of the finer points of the game and the Giants,  he has come to see the light and has joined us in being a Giants Fan.  Allyson has been a fan from the beginning, she has watched many games and will do a mini fist pump when we say "Go Giants!".  Uncle Wes has also been kind enough to supply her with a nice supply of Giants gear.

This last Friday we were able to get tickets to see the Giants play the Reds.  We were all excited, and I was especially excited.  I made sure we all had the appropriate attire to attend a game at AT&T Park.

We got to the city early and met up with Wes at his place.  Then we headed downtown to the GAP offices where Wes's girlfriend Ashley works.  She took up up to the top to enjoy the amazing view of the bay and of the Bay Bridge.  It was a beautiful day in the City making the view even better.

Allyson and Grandpa

Allyson was more than happy to stretch her legs.  I think she looks adorable in her Posey jersey (I got it for her prior to his injury...we miss Posey).

Then it was off to the ballpark.  Allyson as always got quite a bit of attention, putting her in a Giants shirt made her all the more irresistible.

Checking out the view with Grandma

We got there early to watch some of batting practice.

Family picture time!  Sadly not one of Allyson's best picture but it is the only one we got.

We picked a great game to go to, the Giants had a walk off win.  There were some tense moments but they pulled through in the end (even after losing Freddy to a dislocated shoulder).  We even got to see The Beard pitch, Giants Fans sure love him!

I was worried taking Allyson to a night game but she did great.  There were a few (short) moments she had a rough time but there was so much to see she loved it.

She especially loved looking at all the kids in our section (there was an elementary school group a few rows behind us).  She really liked all the panda hats (hint hint Uncle Wes).

As a bonus they had fireworks after the game (not sure what the occasion was).  I was also nervous about how Allyson would do, since she hadn't seen fireworks before.  She LOVED them, she kept pointing at the pretty lights and the noise didn't scare her at all (they were being shot off a boat in the bay).

We had so much fun at our first Giants game as a family and look forward to many more.

Go Giants!
