The Party

Last Saturday we had Allyson's Birthday party. Steve may have thought I lost my mind worrying about all the details and wanting it to be the perfect party. With lots of help from him and the rest of our families it was the perfect party.
Even without any power! The power went off right before the party started, luckily the food was already cooked, we had wood stove heat and lots of windows for light.

Lots of family to share the day with.

Guest List: Uncle Brandon, Uncle Wes, Uncle Denny & Aunt Jackie, Grandma & Grandpa Comstock, Aunt Kathryn, Aunt Judy, Grandma & Grandpa Cherry, Mommy & Daddy.

Linda let me use her wedding cake stuff and I made Ally her cake. (Linda did help with some of the decorating!) Thankfully it turned out way better than my practice cake!

The presents, such a lucky girl.

She had a hard time with opening presents. She couldn't understand why after she opened one that she couldn't play with it. She would've been happy with one present.

As a side note she loved this pig in the picture, it vibrates and makes noise. Now that we have it a home she cries every time we try to play with it. Not sure what happened there.

Checking out Grandma Cherry's pictures (most likely of Allyson).

Cake time!

She was very prim and proper eater her cake, she was satisfied with licking the frosting off her fingers. We had to help her dig into the cake a little. She wouldn't have been very messy at all but Uncle Wes decided to help her and somehow she got got frosting ALL over her face.

We were so happy to celebrate Allyson's first year with so much family. Even Steve's Uncle Denny and Aunt Jackie who found us without the address!
