The girls helped me make Papa some Snickerdoodle cookies for his birthday. They love to help make cookies, I was more than happy to let them roll the cookies in the cinnamon sugar. Ally also drew Papa a special picture, she loves to give people her drawings.
Papa's birthday fell on a particularly busy day for him, he had meetings all day long. Steve and I were able to see him at the Rebuild Expo at the Casino for a little bit. Steve headed back to work and we were supposed to meet up with my Mom and the kids for a birthday dinner at La Parilla. Sadly La Parilla is closed on Tuesdays, instead we ended up at the Greenview Room. We had a quick birthday dinner before Papa had to head out for his last meeting of the day.
We had a proper birthday dinner for Papa on Saturday, Wes and Sarah came up to join in the fun. The girls were excited for the party and to see Uncle Wes and Aunt Sarah.
Sarah brought up this fun hula hoop, the girls had so much fun and went a bit crazy.
After Papa's traditional birthday dinner (oven fried chicken, fruit salad and potatoes) it was time for cake. I love getting together for family parties, I really love how much the girls enjoy them as well.
