Saturday morning I woke up wanting to do something as a family, the weather was beautiful and I decided we should go for a family walk. Little did I know how hard it would be to make that happen. Eva has been going through a very stubborn stage when it comes to clothes, and just about everything. I know she is just exerting her independence but it has been really hard to work with. This girl is extremely strong willed, and there is no talking or reasoning with her at all. So after much struggle over wearing a sweatshirt, shoes that weren't sandals and the fight over buckling her in the car seat we were off.
Thankfully once we got out of the car and started on our walk things improved. These two girls couldn't be dressed more opposite if they had tried. Seeing them together makes me smile, their clothes definitely show their personalities.
Colton was so happy being in his backpack, he loved going on the walk so much that he fell asleep!
Ally and Steve had a lot of fun looking of Lake County Diamonds. Ally saved quite a few to start a new collection. These diamonds weren't anywhere near as big as the ones we found back in February but they were fun to find.
Eva had fun running around and trying to keep up with Ally. I even managed to convince her to keep her sweatshirt on for half of the walk.
Ally was so excited to test out her new binoculars on our walk. She was so cute in her camo hat and binoculars.
I loved seeing my two girls holding hands (at Eva's insistence). It is so fun to watch them having fun together. We had some much needed family time. I miss letting the kids run around outside all the time, it isn't quite the same in our new house. I have to make more of a conscious effort, but it is always worth the effort to get every one outside.
