Pete the Cat was at the fair with the Lakeport Library. Eva was too shy to get close (she has a huge fear of these types of characters Pete, Smokey, etc) but she still talks about him all the time.
Colton and I walked up to the livestock barns while the girls rode up in the wagon with Grandma and Grandpa.
Ally absolutely loved the obstacle course set up by the Hero Project.
She was so excited to run through it, and even did it twice.
This picture makes me laugh. Ally loves this hat, she thinks it is the coolest hat ever. I had to fill out a survey to get this free hat but it was worth it to see her so happy.
Ally was so excited to play the fishing game again. Sadly it was much less exciting for her than last year (as were most all the "little kid" rides).
Eva was thrilled with the game and all the rides. Ally is just growing up too fast!
It was fun watching these two go on the rides together, even if Ally acted half bored on some of the rides.
All day long Ally talked about wanting to go on the Ferris Wheel. Finally after using most of our tickets in the little kid area we headed over to the Ferris Wheel. I was a little worried Ally wouldn't be tall enough, we checked and she was just shy of the height requirement on the sign. The carnie saw us and he pulled out the "official" measuring stick and she was just tall enough. Ally was beyond excited! She wanted Papa to take her and she had a blast.
It was getting hot and Eva was getting tired but we got her on the carousel. On our way to the carousel she tripped and fell (and fell apart). A guy at the lemonade stand felt bad for her and gave her a balloon. That helped for a minute until the balloon popped! The man was so nice he gave her a lollipop. Of course we ended up buying some lemonade so his kindness paid off.
We left the fair hot and tired and happy. It was another good time at the Fair.
