May little things

The girls are both big fans of Wild Kratts, Eva loved dressing up in our creature power suit.

Eva likes to put a purse on her shoulder and then waves bye bye to me.

5/3/15 when Eva is doing something she isn't supposed to and I ask her if she wants to go in time out she says bye bye and happily runs to her room and sits in her chair. I am not sure how effective this is, but usually it does help so we are sticking to it.

5/5/15 I was trying to get Eva to hurry and finish her lunch (so she could nap before I had to pick up Ally, timing is everything in our house).  She still had some Whale crackers on her plate, she said Caca (cracker) in a pleading voice and quickly shoved 10 crackers in her mouth at once.

Eva says gobble gobble for all birds no just turkeys

Eva was crying in the night, when I went in to check on her she was talking in her sleep saying "no not, no not".  Not sure what she was dreaming but she didn't want something

All three of kids were on my bed with me and the girls were just plain wild.  They were all having fun, but by the time I took a picture Colton had had enough of the craziness.

Eva had become my little helper.  She is usually willing to bring me something or put something away when I ask her.  Sometimes she has her own ideas about where something goes, I asked her to put the wipes back in the diaper bag and she insisted they go in "baby's room".  And that is where she put them.  Lucky for her I will take all the help I can get.

Eva loves to sit in this little desk and read or draw.  I love peeking in the girls room and watching her "read".

We are properly indoctrinating Eva with Giants Baseball.  She can say "Go Giants" and just the other day she showed me a baseball and said "Giants!".  We have also been practicing singing "Take me out to the ballgame" and instead of "root root root for the home team" we sing "root root root for the Giants", that is the way it should go anyway.

Eva loves story time, she sits (most of the time) and loves listening to the stories.  My mom recently took her to a story time at another library (we wanted to see how they ran theirs) and Eva was the star of the show.  The story reader loved her and how well she listened (good thing too, it was a very strict story time!).

Eva is talking so much and she is using sentences more and more.  When we pass Grange Road Eva always says "gramma house road".  She has quickly learned "my turn" and always begs for a turn at whatever fun thing Ally is doing

Colton has officially outgrown the front pack (or at least my capacity to carry him in the front pack).  Here is is riding the the shopping cart for the first time.  I still don't trust Eva to walk along as we shop so she gets to ride in the cart.  It limits impulse buys since I just can't fit as much in my cart!

5/16/15 Colton was crying (because Eva dropped a toy on him) and before I could console him she put his pacifier in his mouth.  Then when that didn't work she tried again saying "baby bite, baby bite"  She calls her pacifiers "bite"

Eva had her 2 year check up (only 2 months late...). We had to visit a different doctor due to insurance and while she was very brave I did not enjoy our visit.  So glad to head back to our normal doctor soon!

These girls always fight over Eva's bean bag chair, it is much bigger and softer than Ally's

Memorial Day Ceremony at the Middletown Cemetery

5/25 Eva kept saying Xena no, Xena no!
On Memorial Day my parents took the girls to my Aunt Kathryn's house.  My cousin Sherri was there with her Rottweiler Xena (super sweet dog).  Xena wanted to play fetch whenever the girls had a ball.  The girls got a lot of practice saying Xena no!

Bath time is never dull around here, these girls have so much fun, and end up getting a little crazy.

One night in the bath Eva started doing this pose, not sure where she came up with it.  She was so proud of herself and just giggled every time.

Ally found a acorn that had sprouted, she was so excited and took it to school the next day to show the class.  She loved that you could see the tree growing out of the seed coat.

Uncle James came to town for a business trip, we were so glad we got to see him for a little bit.

5/28/15 Eva had a particularly rough time getting dressed this morning.  She was really excited to wear a dress with sandals but once I had a dress on her she wanted it off immediately (repeat excitement and rejection x4).  I had finally had it and said "fine Eva don't wear any clothes"(not really meaning it) and I walked away to get Colton dressed.
After quite a while I tried one more outfit (a skirt and shirt) which Eva happily put on and kept on.  Ally told me she had helped convince Eva to get dressed.  She said "I told Eva that she should wear some pants because everyone would see her diaper and laugh at her".  Ally really thought I was serious about Eva not wearing any clothes.

5/30/15
Eva was playing on the piano and singing "Gramma House, Gramma house"

5/31/15
While eating lunch after church Eva started singing "nummy fishy cacka nummy fishy cacka"

I MUST know where you got the creature power suit! Was it on Amazon? The boys have been asking Rich one, because you know he can make/fix anything ;) And just so you know, Eva's bathtub pose is exactly Landon's! He was showing me his cool tricks just Saturday night.

Love this post and how it shows your documenting little things. A reminder to me to be better about actually writing things down. I think I'll remember, but I never do!
