Colton loves his fingers, and recently I have caught him sucking on his thumb. I think it is so cute, and I am all for anything that promotes self soothing! During my multitude of prenatal doctor appointments I had bi-weekly ultrasounds, almost every time Colton would have his hands up by his face. A few times we could actually see him sucking on his hand, so he has been a finger/thumb sucker from the very beginning.
This poor guy needs a little something to tide him over when he is hungry but has to wait. This particular time I was getting ready to feed him but Eva had a dirty diaper.
So he wisely found his thumb to give him some comfort.
Then I had to give Eva her lunch, so I could put her down for her nap so Colton had to wait again. It isn't really fair to him, but because he wasn't screaming I put him off for 10 minutes while Eva got her lunch.
Timing is everything around here. Timing of Colton's feedings, Eva's lunch and naps all revolve around Ally's school drop off and pick up times. Those time are non negotiable so everything else has to be a little flexible.
