School Time

Allyson started school!  I can hardly believe it, our little girl started T-K (transitional kindergarten).  She has been so excited all summer long to start school.  When she realized school was only a few days away she jumped up and down shouting "hooray!".  Gotta love her enthusiasm.
She woke up bright and early and could hardly wait until it was time to head to school.  She is a half day T-K that starts at 11am, the perfect start time for our  non morning girl.

Allyson has plenty of clothes but I could resist getting a few cute new clothes for back to school.  She was so excited to wear her new outfit.  Can you tell she loves pink?

She loves her princess backpack, she helped pick it out (from Amazon...I was an online back to school shopper).

There is only on T-K class in the school district so doesn't go to the school closest to us.  Now she is a Coyote Valley Coyote just like Uncle Marshall was.

Waiting to go into the classroom.

Her teacher, Mrs. Carter, had all the kids line up outside the door and Ally just walked right in without any hesitation.  I was so proud of her.  She was so ready.  Eva and I of course followed her in and helped get her settled in.

She looks a bit nervous in this picture but she didn't have a hard time at all.  she jumped right into the activity her teacher had laid out for them.

She was doing so well I felt a little silly hanging around watching.  After a few minutes I gave her a hug and a kiss she was on her own.
She told me later she missed me a little while she was a school but she didn't cry like some of the other kids.  So proud of our brave girl.  She was so excited, and tired, when Eva and I picked her up after school.
A few days before school started Ally was talking to my mom about school and she said "when I get home from school I am going to be so tired I will just walk in the door and flop on the couch".  Such a funny girl.

What a big girl! She looks adorable in her new school clothes. I'm sure it was a hard/happy day!
