Christmas Morning came early, some were more awake than others. Once Allyson was awake I asked her if she thought Santa had come yet, she answered "no, not yet." She thought she would see him when he came.
Santa did come, and Allyson must have been a good girl. She got a Peppa Pig play set and Micey's mommy and daddy.
The not so awake look, besides being half asleep I think she was confused with all the commotion.
She quickly warmed up and began playing with her Peppa Pig set.
Between the Santa gifts and opening the mountain (I kid you not) of presents we had amazing cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Linda made the famous cinnamon rolls from Steve's (and maybe Kevin's too) Home Economics class in high school. So delicious.
I love this look, a classic Allyson look.
Grandma Rose and Papa Al gave each great grandchild a pre-recorded (with them narrating) Christmas story. One of my favorite gifts of the day!
Taking in all the present craziness
The Christmas Candy was a hit with all the kids as you can see Jackson enjoying his stash.
Allyson definitely had the unwrapping down this year, but she still appreciated a little help.
The Mouse Family re-united.
At the Kelseyville Light Parade Allyson was given "Micey", the lovely blue mouse. The next night at our ward Christmas Party she told Santa she wanted Micey's mommy and daddy for Christmas. Santa thought this might just be a coincidence and didn't pay too much attention (rookie mistake). A few days before Christmas it became clear that the wish for Micey's mommy and daddy was for real. Luckily Santa had a few tricks up his sleeve and was able to make this little girl happy by re-uniting the Mouse Family on Christmas morning.
After all the present craziness died down it was time to Skype with Uncle Brandon. Despite a few technical difficulties we had so much fun talking with our favorite missionary. We were also excited to hear he might be coming home a few weeks early, at the end of April. While he is not so excited about this change we can't wait to see him again.
We had a fabulous Christmas dinner that everyone helped make. I think that is the best way, no one person is stuck with all the cooking, we just have to share the kitchen! Another fun Cherry Christmas was in the books.
