Allyson Rose at age 3

Thursday we went for Allyson's 3 yr doctors appointment, it was a rocky appointment.  Somehow Allyson has developed a deep fear of the scale, only in doctors offices.  She had major meltdowns at the scale at both her cardiology appointment in July and Thursday at her pediatrician.  Poor girl.  She took awhile to recover but was soon back to normal and happy for Dr. Meyer and Veronica the nurse.  No shots required this visit, however the flu nasal spray induced another meltdown.  Nothing a doughnut at Safeway couldn't fix!

3yr Stats
weight 32.5 lbs
height 3ft 1/2in

After Allyson turned 3 I "interviewed" her to fill out a birthday questionnaire.  I hope to make this a birthday tradition.  I cannot guarantee the accuracy of her answers.  They were heavily influenced by the events of the day and objects in the room, but they are all her answers.  I do take issue with her answer to the question "What are you really good at?".

Here are a few "Allyisms" I love and don't want to forget.

"Last Night"
In Allyson's language last night means anything in the past tense.  It could be something that happend before her nap or a month ago. "I had peppermint candy with Aunt Kathryn last night" when in reality she had it with Aunt Kathryn in July at the reunion.

"Soon"
Not now, something in the future, but not really anytime soon.

"Probably"
Probably we go to Grandmas house, Probably we play outside.  This is her way of making not so subtle suggestions.

"Bueno" (the 'B' is often silent) for Hello
No idea where this one came from, we can't even blame Dora.

"Peeking"
When anything is sticking out of something (out of a box, a drawer, etc) she will say "look it is peeking out"

These are great. However, I'm concerned about her favorite sport! Really football!?!? Obviously the nasal spray had effected her thinking!! Just sayin'
