Fun with Nana & Papa Cherry

With fire season running long (which is a good thing around here) and my parents taking a trip to visit their other grandchildren I was without a babysitter.  So of course I called up Steve's mom to see if she could watch Allyson.  We worked out the details and Allyson got to spend two nights at Nana and Papa Cherry's house.
Wednesday evening we met up with Bob and Linda at Granzella's for the drop off.  Not only did we enjoy food and good company, fate was on my side and I was able to watch Game 1 of the World Series where the Giants shut down the supposedly un-hit-able Verlander (not to mention Pablo Sandoval's 3 home runs).  It was a sweet night to be a Giants fan.
Bob and Linda had two very fun days planned for Allyson, they kept her busy and wore her out.  I was exhausted just listening to all the fun things they packed into 2 days.

While Nana was working Papa and Allyson visited Nana at work, had breakfast with Grandma Rose and Papa Al, went to the Fish Ladder and the Park.  Allyson wasn't too impressed with the Salmon.

However, she loved the all the paths and stairs around the fish ladder.

After Nana got off work they took a walk and explored around the Bath House and along the Feather River.

Friday Nana and Papa took Allyson to Bishop's Pumpkin Patch in Wheatland.  I can't even come close to remembering all the fun things they got to do.  I think this is probably one of the best pumpkin patches around, I can't wait to go next time!

Looking cute in the pumpkin field.

Allyson was in LOVE with these singing and dancing chickens.  They were all she could talk about after I picked her up.

As if the pumpkins, playground and singing chickens weren't enough, they also had a petting zoo.  Allyson loves animals, especially when they aren't too big and intimidating.

I missed Allyson while she was gone but she had a blast.
