Eve of Christmas Eve

We celebrated the Eve of Christmas Eve with my parents having a delicious dinner and exchanging gift. Since we would both be traveling to celebrate Christmas we had a mini celebration a few days early.

It also gave Allyson a chance to work on her present opening skills.

It took quite a while for here to open this book, she was easily distracted, but she got the job done.

Checking out her new book from Grandma and Grandpa Comstock.

Our gift to my parents, a book that had "The Family, A Proclamation to the World" with our family pictures in it. It was a lot of work, but I loved how it turned out.

Possibly my favorite gift to Allyson. My old play purse, the plastic had become yellow and brittle and my mom sewed on new plastic. At first I thought she had found one just like my old one, but she had refurbished mine.

Allyson got her own swing to add to Grandma and Grandpas swing set, and as you can see she already likes it. Steve and I also got spoiled, but alas there is not photographic evidence of that.

Love those refurbished gifts! Mike's mom restored his rocking chair for Justin and now it's back in our living room for the grandkids! Looks like the merriest of holidays for the Cherry/Comstock families!

Glad you had such a great Christmas Eve Eve :) I think that's awesome that your mom re-made your old toy! How fun.
