Ever since we moved into our house I have been looking for curtains for our living room. Either I am really picky or there just isn't that good of a curtain selection out there. So I decided I would make my own curtains. It was really hard to find material I liked, when I finally made my decision I went back and the fabric was gone! Luckily Steve found the same fabric at another store. Then I took some creative license withe the pattern, but I like the outcome.
My mom told us about a little boutique/store that was going out of business and all the great deals. She said they had some nice furniture for pretty cheap, she was right. We walked out of the store with more than we planned, but with some great stuff.
We got this small chest of drawers that we are using as a TV stand, I love it and it has nice big drawers to hide the clutter in!
Our best find of all was this table. We have been looking around for a table and you either get one made out of particle board or pay a million dollars for a table. We were so excited to find this solid wood table for cheap, I love it. Now on to find chairs to match.
The owner of the store said we could have this hutch for $25 so we took it, now we have no idea what to do with it. We can't really seem to find a place for it, any ideas? Any takers?

I wish I were brave like you and Christy. Ever since we have lived here, I have been wanting curtins. They are expensive and ugly...so, I should be able to make some!!! Yea...I am so chicken. You and Christy are brave enough to try something like that.....not me. I am afraid that it will be ugly when I get done, so I never attempt it. Guess that is why you have curtains and I don't!!!! They look wonderful!!!!
What a great deal you found on that furniture!!! It looks good, and I am sure you will find matching chairs. You would be amazed at what DI has, so next time you are near there, take a look.
You need to take some pictures of the outside of your little house. I just love that place. It suits you and Steve, and your mom always told me how much you loved it.
