Steve and I were lucky enought to squeeze in a camping trip before it gets too cold for camping. We went to Grover Hot Springs state park. We lucked out with beautiful weather and very few people. The Sierras did not disapoint and we enoyed the beautiful mountains and trees.

As we were trying to find the road to take us up to Hawkins Peak we found this mine at the end of a dirt road. No signs no fences and it was really cold inside. Steve was adventurous and explored inside a little, not me though.

Hawkins Peak

We found it!

Proof that I made it to the top too (it was really steep and there just isn't much oxygen at 10,000ft!)

And what would a trip to Grover Hot Springs be without a soak in mineral rich hot springs.
We had so much fun and can't wait to do it again, camping in the fall is even better than in the summer.

I love California in the fall it's so pretty. It feels like winter already in Utah. We got a good foot of snow in Ogden this past week.
