This last weekend I headed up to Oregon with my parents for Tiara's (my niece) baptism. It was cloudy and cool for the first two days, I know I shouldn't have been surprised but I thought even Portland would be sunny in August!
We took advantage of the blackberries that grow everywhere and did some berrying.
We picked a lot of berries and even used some to make blackberry buckle. After berrying it was on to the main event of the weekend. The baptism was very nice and Tiara was so excited. My mom gave the talk on baptism, James performed the baptism and James, my dad and Marshall took part in the confirmation and I played the piano. Quite the family affair.
Congratulations Tiara! Tiara (in the dress my mom made) and James

Your mom and I email once in a while, but not often enough. Both of them are really busy, but it is nice to hear from them when they can.
