Big Sisters

It has been so fun to watch Allyson and Eva being big sisters to Colton.  I knew how excited Allyson was to have a little brother but Eva's excitement surprised me.

Allyson loves to hold Colton, can't wait to go into his room when she hears him wake up, and is my big helper.  She was so excited to help me give him a bath last night, she carefully washed his little feet.

I was a little worried about how Eva would take having a little brother.  In the hospital I was happy to see that she like Colton, she kept giggling and laughing.  I think he reminded her of her beloved baby dolls.

One night after Allyson had a turn holding Colton Eva climbed up onto the couch, grabbed the nursing pillow and let us know she wanted to hold Colton.  It was so cute, she wanted her turn and nothing was going to stop her (typical Eva). Of course I couldn't say no, but I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out.  It was just fine, Eva was is heaven and Colton wasn't harmed (though we have to watch Eva's exuberance).  She loves to point out his nose and eyes (we have to be careful on the eyes) while saying her version of nose and eyes.
