Eva's Rainbow Party

Saturday was Eva's 1st birthday party.  We lucked out with the weather, it was a beautiful sunny day (maybe even a little too warm) so we were able to have the party outside.
Eva loved the attention from the other kids and I thought this picture was pretty cute.  They were all so excited to talk to Eva and she was just happy to be with the kids.

I decided to have a Rainbow party for her birthday, a nod to her St. Patrick's Day birthday but still cute for a girl.  The Rainbow theme was most evident in the food.
I loved how these Jello Cups turned out, but they took forever.  I am not sure if they will ever happen again.

The rainbow fruit platter was the complete opposite of the Jello Cups, so very easy.  I was a little disappointed the Mangoes weren't more orange, but they tasted great and life goes on!

Ally picked out a few presents for Eva all on her own (after I guided her to the dollar section of course) it was cute how excited she was to give Eva her present.

Of course Eva was more than spoiled with lots of fun gifts, she is one lucky girl.

Isn't she adorable?  She was waiting patiently for cake and just looking adorable as always.

The Rainbow Cake!
The Rainbow theme continued to the cake, I was so excited/nervous about this cake.  I spent a lot of time on pinterest reading how different people made this cake, complete with beautiful cakes and pretty ugly cakes.  I was afraid mine would end up in the ugly category, and there was no real way to see the final product until you cut the cake in front of everyone! Thankfully I loved how it turned out.  Not perfect, but really cute!

Happy Birthday to our Eva girl!

Everything looked amazing! Happy birthday to Eva! The cake really did look great. Good job on that--I've seen them on Pinterest too and thought they were super cool.
