Train Town

Last Saturday I declared a family day and we took a break from the remodel and headed to Sonoma to visit Train Town.  I remembered going to Train Town when I was about 11 and it was a lot of fun.  It is a lot different now, you no longer park in a dirt field (in fact it was hard to find a parking place) and the place was packed.  

We were lucky enough to get a few seats together on the train, people weren't exactly polite pushing their way onto the train.  That was a bit much for me, no need to get so pushy it is kids ride, and the next  train ride was only in 20 minutes.

Allyson loved the train ride! There were lots of tunnels and bridges and plenty to see.

The train stopped at a miniature town where there was a petting zoo where Allyson got to feed a very large sheep.

There were lots of fun little buildings to explore, unfortunately the train didn't stop for long and we had to get back on the train.  People didn't go back to their original seats so we were separated (and crammed) for the ride back to the station.

Daddy and Allyson were excited to ride the Dragon Roller Coaster.  I was surprised how much she liked it, she wasn't scared at all.

Next up the Ferris Wheel!

They had lots of fun going high above the trees.

The last ride was the Carousel

Ally loved her horse and kept talking about her Carousel ride for days after. 

It was a fun day.  It is the perfect place for younger kids, not as big as an amusement park but just enough fun rides.
