Saturday we all slept in and had a lazy morning before heading out to the Zoo. I was excited to Ally there since she loves being outside and love animals. Since we got there late the parking lot was full, but we ended up finding free parking pretty close so ti worked out even better. I hadn't been to a Zoo in a long time either, in fact I think the last time was when Wes's elementary school class had a field trip at the SF Zoo and I tagged along.
Allyson loved looking at the animals, but I think she liked looking at all the kids even more. She is our social girl.
The Meerkats were a hit, they are pretty cute.
Having fun at the Lion Statue. The real Lions were sleeping when we tried to see them.
The zoo has a really cute Farm section with lots of sheep and goats roaming around to pet. Allyson was a little hesitant at first but she got into it.
This whole farm section was great for little kids, they got to run around and get up close to a lot of animals. Ally is enjoying the duck pond.
I think this sheep had had enough attention, when Ally was petting him he headbutted her. Thankfully it wasn't hard at all, I am not even sure she noticed.
I was excited to take Allyson on the Carousel. She was pretty tired at this point but still liked it. She loved all the horses.
While we were in the Australia section she really started to get tired, but she was still awake.
After the South America building she was out (maybe it was the warm humid temperatures that did it). After sleeping on daddy's shoulders we tried to put her in her stroller so she could be more comfortable. She kept sleeping at first, but then woke up totally re-energized. You would've never guessed her nap was only 10 minutes at the most.
Wide awake and ready for more fun.
It was a wonderful and busy weekend and Allyson was a trooper. Late nights and absolutely no naps and she was still happy. It was a fun family weekend.
